Evan tossing his cap!

We have a recent graduate at home. Mr. Evan has officially graduated from Preschool. Way to go EV!!! Evan has really enjoyed his preschool class this year. His favorite parts were going on the field trips to the zoo and a childrens museum. Also, he loved it when he would get the "Mystery Bag" and he would write clues as to what item he brought for the children to guess in the bag. Evan has a wonderful personality and has made many friends in his class. He can be silly at times, but is a good student. Congrats buddy!!

One Month

One Month old already! You have been such a delight to have in our family, Isaac, and I am so blessed to be your mom.

Here are some little facts about you:
*You let me get plenty of rest and night (usually 4-5hr stretches between feedings)
*You struggled with eating at first, but now you are a pro.
*You are my burpiest, and gassiest baby
*You are very happy in the morning when you wake up and are full of smiles!
*We all love your dimple on your right cheek!
*Your brothers and sister constantly fight over who gets to hold you next.
*Both your Grandma's have come for a visit to meet you and help out mom.
*You've been to two of Dad's softball games.
*You haven't been to church yet, but Dad sure enjoys his time at home with you on Sunday's. :)

We all love you and can't wait to see you grow (but not too fast)!

WE LOST IT!

My pet peeve at work is a 6-7 yr old who will not let go of their baby tooth and it is just flappin' in the wind. I always ask the kid if they want me to pull it out for them, and of course they adamantly say "NO!". Well, I have one of those children. Connor has been working on this tooth for over a month. He had the one behind it growing in, so I told him that he looked like a shark with his layers of teeth. The tooth was practically falling forward and it was bothering him. It had one good piece of tissue hanging on in the front. I said, "You need to pull it and then twist it to get it out." He took my advise, almost ate it and then he spit it out in his hand. GOOD JOB CONNOR!!

Stats

Isaac had his first DRS appt today. Here are his stats.

Head- 48th%
Weight-56th% (He is 7lbs 14oz....still not back to his birth weight of 8lbs 6oz)
Height- 99% (21.5 inches) WHAT?? you must be thinking!! We may have a recessive tall gene burried amoung us shorties somewhere. We'll have to keep watch on this one to see if it continues.

So we have to go in for another weight check on Friday because he is not back to his birth weight. Last Friday he was 7lbs 8oz (Maya paid a visit to the Dr for an ear infection.) so he's doing pretty well since then.

We are all surviving and loving our new little addtion! :)

1 week old and loving it!

So thanks Jen for getting after me. She demanded more pictures on the blog. I made it my #1 priority to get done today (It moved my 6 loads of laundry down to #2). So here are some sweet shots of the gang, the babe, and my mom. (Thanks again mom for all the help!)

My kids are adapting well to their new baby brother in the house. Things are not perfect around here, but they are trying. Maya and Evan fight like cats and dogs, and Connor is the hardest person to wake up in the morning. This week I have been in charge of getting Connor out the door and to school on my own. We made it on time today, but yesterday we had to flush something out of his eye, so we were a little late. Who cares, right? Soooo......the pictures below are what Maya has decided to do while I am occupied (nursing the babe). I was upstairs in my room and Ryan came home from work and I hear him shout, "What are you doing?!" His tone was one of utter disbelief. I shouted from upstairs, "What's going on down there?" Reply- "Maya is playing in the butter!" I finished feeding Isaac and came downstairs. Ryan had the camera out documenting the experience. We laughed, but I was a little bit mad because I had just bought the outfit she was wearing at Kohl's only about an hour before and now it was covered in butter. Luckily, we have Oxyclean.
